Obituary

Adelbert George Chamberlain, born in Schenevus, NY in 1924, passed away peacefully in his sleep, June 18, 2013 with his personal physician, Dr. R. Puri at his side. Dr. Puri was a personal family friend and referred to Dell as Grandpa.

He resided in Schenevus, Binghamton and Middletown, NY before moving to Arizona. He returned to New York after the death of his second wife, Ethel, and resided with his daughter. His final years were spent in Orlando, FL residing with another daughter.

Dell was predeceased by his parents; 6 of his siblings; his only son, Adelbert A. Chamberlain; the mother of his children, Minna; his second wife, Ethel; and many other family members and friends.

Dell is survived by his daughters; two sisters; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and misc. family members and friends.

He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He was employed by a few local hospitals (orderly), worked with different plumbing and heating companies, and some of the local florists. He retired from the construction industry in Arizona before the death of his second wife.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Schenevus Cemetery, in his home town of Schenevus.
