East Worcester – Adolph Schrull, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2023.

He was born August 18, 1947 in Carmel, NY.  Abe grew up in Carmel and moved to the Worcester area in the 1970's.  He opened a body shop and loved working on cars.  At one time he worked for the Worcester and Decatur Highway Departments. He worked at Otsego Automotive as a car detailer.  Abe owned and operated the House of Pizza in East Worcester.  He loved bringing candy to the kids at the homes he delivered to.  Big Abe enjoyed playing Santa during the holidays.  He adored his Chihuahuas, his favorite companions, Maya and Mya.

Abe was a big part of countless people's lives.  He touched so many.  No one told a story like he did.  He loved his Harley's and lived for his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Dawn and her husband, Ted Handy and Nicole Schrull; grandchildren, Devin Adams, Maddison Schrull and Ciara Decker; his siblings, Eddie (Jean) Schrull, Cookie (Leland) Reed, Beverly Smith, Delores LaRochelle and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Abe Schrull Jr.; his mother, Henrietta Richter Schrull; and his brothers, Ronnie, Art, Bobby, Brian and Rudy Schrull.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 23 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 24, at the Second Baptist Church, Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Judith Thistle officiating.
