GARRARDSTOWN, WV – Albert Richard Wilson, 61, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Martinsburg City Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
He was born December 13, 1946 in Cobleskill, the son of Lester Wilson and Leola Dauley Brooker.
In 1996 Al transferred from Altamont, NY to the Harlan Spraug Dawley in Frederick, Maryland, where he was currently working as an Equipment Service Processor.
Al was a devoted demolition derby participant, winning many awards over the years. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a big Rusty Wallace fan, he liked playing darts and his beloved dogs, KC and Daisy.
He is survived by his best friend and companion, Irma Bates of Gerrardstown, WV; his brothers, William and Helen Wilson of Warren, MI, Franklin and Connie Brooker of Davenport and J. Henry and Yvonne Brooker of Richmondville; his sister, Eva and Larry Dibble of Summit; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a special nephew, Darren Sperbeck.
He is predeceased by sisters, Doris Winnie and Velda Barner and a brother, Robert Brooker.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the E.J. Skinner Funeral Chapel in Worcester from 11 a.m. to the service at Noon, with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, retired, officiating.
Interment will be at the South Valley Cemetery.
