ONEONTA – Alexander M. (Alex) Menges, 31, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 28, 2007 at his home.

Alex was born in Great Falls, MT, March 5, 1976, the son of Richard J. and Joyce Ann (Ellis) Menges. He was predeceased by both parents.

Alex moved back to the area from Oklahoma approximately three years ago. He had a great love for reading, fishing, cartoons, cooking and family. Alex worked as a cook for Sal's Pizzeria and Restaurant since his return.

Alex was loved and will be missed by his survivors; his sister, Nancy and husband, Adrian, and her children, Skyler, Steffanie and her husband, Andre', all of Oneonta. His other sister, Vivian of Kansas; two brothers, Chris of Esperance NY, Gevan and wife, Gina, their daughter, Kathleen, all of Oklahoma; one aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Joseph of Esperance.

At the family's request Alex was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
