Worcester – Alfred T. 'Bud' Rifenburgh, 72, passed away December 28, 2022 at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born August 15, 1950 in Cobleskill, the son of Alfred B. and Florence (Hochreiter) Rifenburgh.
Bud grew up in Richmondville and graduated from Richmondville Central School, Class of 1968. He was a farmer's kid who played the guitar and was the lead singer for the band, The Center Valley Boys. He was an avid hunter, and Nascar fan. His children were his pride and joy. He was proud of their achievements. He enjoyed family gatherings where he would share laughs and memories.
Bud owned and operated Glove Masters Inc. in Richmondville then went on to work as an Independent Contractor Rural Courier for the United States Postal Service, serving the Charlotteville and East Worcester areas.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Marie (Bartolotti) Rifenburgh who he married on April 24, 1999 at Howe Caverns; his children, Christine (Ron) Benson of Worcester, Thomas (Natasha) Rifenburgh and granddaughter, Theodora Rifenburgh of Worcester, Megan Pinto of Newtonville, and Katrina Rifenburgh of Worcester; his sister, Patricia Myers of the State of Maryland; as well as other extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Visitation will be held 1 p.m. to the service time at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home,
