UNADILLA – Alice E. Thomson, 86, passed away July 4, 2018 at the Post Acute Medical Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

She was born August 31, 1931 in Maryland, NY, the daughter of Albert and Susan (Ritchey) Dubben.

Alice married Gilbert "Gibby" Thomson on July 4, 1951. They made their home in Schenevus, where she operated a beauty shop for many years.  She was also at one time the Town Clerk and was employed at Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville.  She enjoyed her role as Den Mother while her son was in the Boy Scouts of America.

She is survived by her son, Tom and wife, Ann Marie Thomson of Sidney; grandchildren, Connor and Tommy Thomson, and Dallas Easton, all of Sidney; sister, Caroline and husband, Geary Whiteman of Schenevus; brother, Ralph Dubben of Gilbertsville; many nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friends at the Meadow Valley Trailer Park.

She was predeceased by her husband; sister, Gladys and husband, Irwin Abramson; and brother, Raymond and wife, Maria Dubben; and sister-in-law, Louise Dubben.

Calling hours will be from 10 am to 11:30 am Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta. A graveside service will follow at Noon, at the Schenevus Cemetery, 67 Main St., Schenevus, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, officiating.
