Unadilla, NY - Alice T. Welch, 93 passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2022.

She was born March 27, 1928 in Bronx, NY. The daughter of Edward and Catherine (Carroll) McLeer.

Alice Married Richard Welch February 13, 1955. They moved to Schenevus, NY in 1969.

Alice moved to Unadilla, NY in 2007.

Alice was an active member of the Schenevus VFW Auxiliary and served as past president, a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oneonta, and Maywood Community, Unadilla, NY. She was also involved with the Office of the Aging, Oneonta, NY serving as past secretary/treasurer.  Alice enjoyed knitting, jewelry making and spending time with her family.

Alice is survived by her children, William Crawford (Holly) Bronxville, NY, Patrick Welch and wife Angela, Worcester, NY, Alison Walke and husband Jim, Schenevus, NY, Carleen Howland, Unadilla, NY and Kevin Welch, Oneonta, NY; grandchildren, Lauren Crawford, Marisa Crawford and husband Matt, Doreen Walke and Darrell, Patrick Walke, Jaime Howland, Kurt Howland II and wife Kassandra, Samantha Howland, Rory Howland and Melissa Welch; great-grandchildren, Hunter (Chelsea), Cooper (Taylor), Spencer, Morgan, Carson, Juliette (Josh), Ava, Harper, Paxton, Asher, Ryder and Mia; a sister, Geraldine Rizzo, special family members Paula Carbonara, Danny and Ari and many nieces and nephews.

Alice was predeceased by Richard in 2001; granddaughter, Danielle Welch; brothers, Phillip and Eugene McLeer and sisters, Virginia McLeer and Kathleen Dolan.

A funeral mass will be held 9 a.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta, NY with Father David Mickiewicz as celebrant. There will be no calling hours.

Alice will be laid to rest with her husband Richard at the Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery in August 2022.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2022 at Borst Field in Schenevus.
