SIDNEY – Alida Leona Morrison, 90, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oneonta.
She was born December 3, 1921 in Westford, the daughter of Claude and Ethel (Wright) Pitcher.
She married Henry L. Morrison on March 23, 1946. He predeceased her June 22, 2005.
Mrs. Morrison work at Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville.
She and her husband lived in Schenevus and Florida for 21 years, moving to Sidney in 1999. Mrs. Morrison enjoyed shuffle board and crafts; and was famous for her apple pies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She never stopped giving to others.
Survivors are a son, Lyle and Doris Morrison of Westford, their children, Tara Dutcher and friend, Don Fuller, Craig and Chrissy Morrison, and Nicole and Chad Kilts; a son, Randy and Donna Morrsion of Zephyrhills, FL, their sons, Jason Morrison and friend, Juliet, and Kevin Morrison; a daughter, Jana & Ed McPhail of Sidney, their children, Christopher and Kimberly Coombs, Joshua & Jennifer Coombs, Jennifer and Gene Luchetti, Ryan and Kim McPhail, and Lindsey McPhail; 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, with the funeral service to follow at Noon at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Pastor Mary Upright of the Higher Ground Christian Church in Afton, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Westford Cemetery
