Alvina (Westfall) Teter of Oneonta, NY, went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2026.

She was born February 15, 1933 daughter of the late John and Alice (Ackley) Westfall.

A graduate of both Franklin Central School and SUNY Delhi majoring in business. Alvina was a lifelong resident of Delhi, NY and started her career at Bishop and Farley's law office. When kids came along, she decided to be a stay at home Mom. Later, returning to the work force with Bob Wyler's photography until the business closed. Alvina's final job was a financial bookkeeper at Delaware Opportunities Delhi, working her way up to become the Chief Fiscal Officer.

She dedicated her life to her family. A beautiful soul who cared deeply about kindness and belief in God. Participating in many capacities throughout the community. Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Pioneer Girls leader. Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. Medical mission trip to Haiti. Past president Delhi Garden Club, town of Davenport Historian and Susquehanna Valley Quilt Member.

Alvina is survived by her loving husband, Donald R. Teter of 71 years; son, Donald L. (Julie) Teter of Madison, WI and daughter, Nancy (Bob) Swantak of Oneonta, NY; Grandchildren, Kevin (Greta) Teter, Christopher (Megan) Childers and Emma (Brian) Inman; Great-grandchildren, Colton and Abigail Teter, Harper and Eli Inman, and Lillian and Beckett Childers.

She was predeceased by her three brothers, Bill, John and George Westfall and one sister, Rose Barlow.

At the family's request there will be no calling hours or formal service. Burial and a celebration of life will be at the convenience of the immediate family.
