ONEONTA – Anastasia M. Johnson, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home in Oneonta.
She was born May 26, 1924 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Robert Emmett Kearney Sr. and Elizabeth (Collins) Kearney.
She married Charles P. Johnson on April 30, 1949 in Brooklyn. He predeceased her on January 29, 2001.
Mrs. Johnson was a nurse for 40 years, most of those years she worked in the Emergency Room.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Johnson and wife, Suzanne and their children, Lucas and Devan; her son, Thomas Johnson and wife, Khadijah and their daughters, Joslyn Katrice and Connie Anastasia; her grandson, Gerard M. Scarangella; a brother, Phillip Kearney; two sisters, Patricia Kearney and Geraldine Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, James Scarangella.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 9, 2011 from 6 to 7 p.m. with the memorial service at 7 p.m. at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta.
