Ann N. Haskell 87 of Worcester, NY passed away unexpectedly on April 1, 2017 at Jupiter Medical Center, Jupiter Florida while visiting her daughters.
She was born on Aug. 6, 1929 in Pittston, PA, the daughter of Edward and Gertrude (MacNamara) Hook. She married Robert M. Haskell on May 1, 1948 in New York City. She owned and operated Ann's Home for Adults in Worcester in the 1970's. She was employed as a nurse's aide at Fox Hospital for 20 years, and did private duty for many years following her retirement. She worked at the Worcester Market until it closed in 2015.
She was the beloved mother of five daughters and one son, Barbara and her husband, Robert Evans, Michael and his wife, Sandy Haskell, Nedra Savoia, Cynthia Willenbacher, Sandra and her husband, Patrick Lyga, and Deborah and her husband, John Sadlon; 11 grandchildren, Kara (Evans) and her husband, Nick Boljevic, Kristin Evans, Patti (Haskell) Tobin, Lisa Haskell, Stephen George and his wife, Alison, Daniel Savoia, Stacey (Willenbacher) Bissoon, Patrick and Chad Lyga, Joshua and Brittany Case; 9 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ariana, and Nathen Boljevic, Mikayla and Harlan Haskell-Tobin, Rayna Ann George, Devin, Kennedy and Evelyn Bissoon; her only sister, Margaret Joan Haskell; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Haskell and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 3 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 201 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Kevin Hanlon, as celebrant.
Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
