Carbondale, PA - Anna Radez Weckel, a resident of the Carbondale Nursing Home and formerly of 54 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale died Saturday at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. She was the widow of Robert Weckel.
Born in Richmondville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Smerdel Radez.
She was a former member of the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester. She was a homemaker. She lived in Carbondale for over 30 years.
Surviving are two brothers, Ernest Radez of San Francisco, CA and Henry Radez of Richmondville, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and John Radez and five sisters, Mary Dickerman, Helen Eckerson, Amelia Hellijas, Angela Brooker and Caroline Brooker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester with the Rev. Edward Golding as celebrant. Burial will be at the St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. till the service time at 11:00 a.m. at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main Street, Worcester.
