Oneonta - Arlene Daphne Harker Doring Osterhoudt, she was here October 21, 1931 until December 31, 2024. Now she is gone leaving behind her most treasured family and faithful friends and "Doctor" Gregg.
Arlene is survived by her family;
her daughter, Lori and Jeff Taggart; grandchildren, Jeannine and partner, Greg, Brian and Heather, Leanne and partner, Kaiden, Brad and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Emily and partner, Christian, Madelynn, Gretchyn, Naydine, Cody, Ethan, Nolan, Jaron, Haylee, Jessalyn; great-great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Clayton;
her son, Mark and Judy Doring; grandchildren, Tiffany, Tara and partner, Seth, Trever and Krista; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Cassidy, Troy, Jacob, Jodi, Rylee and Parker;
step-son, Les and Noreen Osterhoudt; Grandchildren- Cody and Nick, Andrew and fiancée Emily; great-grandchildren, Max and Derek.;
step-son, Bruce and Joanne Osterhoudt; grandchildren, Justin and Caitlin, Amanda, Cassandra and Zachary, Luke and Lauren;. great-grandchildren, Eli, Emma, Leo, Myles and a new baby boy arriving in March and; many nieces and nephews from Connecticut to California.
She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Minnie Belle (Kennel) Harker; her first husband, Louis Doring; her second husband, Alvin Osterhoudt; her siblings, Adam, Raymond, Roger, Eva, and Louise; and her grandson, Troy.
"Thank you for being near when I needed you the most during the ups and downs of my days here on this beautiful earth. Special thanks to Lori and Jeff, Jeannine, Mark and Judy, Madelynn, Gretchyn, Naydine, Tara, Tiffany, Leanne, Kaiden, Brad, Mary Riddell, good neighbors, Nancy and Gill, Dr. Gregg, Dr. Patel, and all the neighbors who stopped by for visits.
Hopefully I will not go to Heaven with all the gold, silver and splendor, but remain here on the green, blue and colorful planet as an Earth Angel and touch the lives of future generations in cleaning up this messed up world. If you hear a bell ring, knock on your door or just the scent of a lovely flower, food or whatever, it may be me passing by." Arlene
A graveside service will be 2 p.m on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin.
