Oneonta – Arnold George Greenblatt, 79, passed away peacefully at the Oxford Veterans Home on July 2, 2025. In later years he had suffered from exposure to Agent Orange from his service in the US Air Force in the Vietnam War, and he received wonderful care at the VA Home, for which the family will be forever grateful.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathie (Carrington) Greenblatt, his daughter Dr. Rachel Aghara and her husband Dr. Sukesh Aghara and their two sons, Rishikesh and Devan. He is also survived by his daughter Lauren Velten and her son Mikah, and Lauren's step-children Axl and Maryssa Velten.
Arnie was a graduate of Oneonta High School and SUNY Delhi. He worked for Custom Electronics for many years, and later retired from The City of Oneonta Water Treatment Department.
Arnie was a quiet man who loved his home and family. He liked deer hunting, golfing, going to the beach, and going out to breakfast. His family called him Mr. Eastern Standard Time, as he always kept to a schedule, a budget and a routine.
