Arthur W. Strong's Obituary
WESTFORD – Arthur W. Strong, 65, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 29, 2011 in the comfort of his own home.
He was born May 21, 1945 in Cooperstown, the son of Arthur E. and Edith (Palmeter) Strong.
Art was a United States Army veteran.
Art worked for the Town of Westford as a Highway Equipment Operator. He retired after 20 years of employment and continued to work there part-time.
He enjoyed hunting and working with animals. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always there to help anyone in need.
He is survived by his children, Charlie and Sheena Strong of Westford, Donna Osborne of Maryland, Joel and Nicole Strong of Westford, and Brian and Katie Strong of Bryson City, NC; 11 grandchildren; a brother, Phillip E. and Alane Strong of Westford; his friend and mother of his children, Ruth Strong of Maryland; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents.
