MARYLAND – Athena I. "Ann" Mileski, 53, passed away November 29, 2019 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

She was born June 2, 1966 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Richard and Irene (Decker) Beers.

Ann spent the majority of her life in the Otego area.

She married James B. Mileski on May 5, 2005 in Oneonta.

Most of Ann's occupations involved caring for people, something she loved doing. She enjoyed her time with her neighborhood friends relaxing, talking and laughing.  Ann and her granddaughter Rylee loved to cook, spend time tending to the flower and vegetable gardens, especially the cucumbers.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Stephanie, Britani and Thomas; Jim's daughter, Jami; she was the beloved Nana to, Brandon, Rylee, Toby, Jayden, Payton, Harley, Quintin and Ruby. Also surviving, 3 sisters, Kitty, Lynmarie and Linda; her brother, Richard; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a life-long friend, Harriet Miller and a special thank you to Matt Kent of The Leatherstocking Market & Fuel Co.

She was predeceased by her mother, Irene; father, Richard; step-father, Lynwood Simonds; and a very close cousin, Missy.

A celebration of Ann's life will be held 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at My Father's Place, 5690 State Highway 7, Oneonta.
