Obituary

SCHENEVUS – Barbara S. Green, 62, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 18, 2008.



Barbara was born in Unadilla on March 16, 1946, the daughter of Edwin and Bonnie (Eddins) Starbuck.



She graduated from Unadilla High School and Ridley Lowell Business School.



She married Timothy David Green on August 19, 1967 in Unadilla.



Barbara recently retired from Otsego County with twenty-five years of service. She was a leader of the Worcester-Schenevus Saddle Tramps 4-H Club for many years.



Barb will be mostly missed for love of her husband, children and grandchildren. She lived each day for her family and her love of all of them. She will also be missed for her love of cooking, love of plants and her love of animals.



She is survived by her husband, Timothy Green; her mother-in-law, Margaret K. Green; her brother, James (Elaine) Starbuck of Unadilla; her children, Kristin (Ronald) Spranger of Schenevus, Kimberly (Robert) Velasco of Worcester, Kelly (Greg) Tymchyn of Altamont and Timothy (Jennifer) Green of Schenevus; her loving grandchildren, Taylor, Erika, Ryan, Gabrielle, Grace, Timothy III, Zakeery and Timy; sister-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Milavec of Worcester; niece, Lauren (Gregg) Horhota and their daughters, Melissa and Marion; nephew, Jeffrey (Sherri) Milavec and their daughters, Maci and Malina; and nieces, Shena and Ashley Starbuck.



Barb was predeceased by her parents, her children, Katherine Lynn and Kevin Micheal and her father-in-law, Shirley Green.



Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Second Baptist Church, Main St., Worcester, from 2 to 4 p.m., with services starting at 4 p.m., with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle officiating.



Interment will take place at the Elk Creek Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
