ONEONTA – Barbara A. Lindberg, 66, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at home. She was born December 4, 1947 in Hartwick, the daughter of David A. and Dorothy H. (Jacobs) Lindberg. Barbara was a life resident of Oneonta. She enjoyed reading. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed. She is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Anna Louise Lindberg and a brother, John H Lindberg; her grandparents, George and Susan Jacobs and nephew, Claude Marble. Barbara is survived by her six sisters, Bonnie (Fred) Marble of Oneonta, Betty (Louie) Barnes of Mt. Vision, Susan (Ivan) Norton of Morris, Norma Jones of South Edmeston, Deborah (Walter) Stretch of Roseboom, Esther (John) Roote of Gilbertsville; six brothers, David (Penelope) Lindberg Jr. of West Laurens, Iver (Lillian) Lindberg of Cooperstown, Richard (Judy) Lindberg of Oneonta, Frank (Ruth) Lindberg of Connecticut, Donald (Doris) Lindberg of Worcester, Douglas Lindberg of Otego; her companion, George Parliman and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 6 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Lena Cemetery in Mt. Vision at later date. Donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
