Barbara Ann Swingle, 73, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on July 6, 1937 in Carbondale, PA; the daughter of Myron R. and Iola (Lovelace) Denney Sr.
Barbara married Paul W. Swingle on February 10, 1956 in South Canaan, PA.
Barbara was a homebody and the support person for her entire family.
She is survived by her husband Paul Swingle of Schenevus, NY; her sister, Laurie Denney of Carbondale, PA; 6 brothers, Donald Denney of Ballston Lake, NY, Gerald Denney of the Philippines, Larry Denney of Carbondale, PA, Charles Denney of Ballston Spa, NY, Jackie Denney of Springville, PA and James Denney of Clifford, PA and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Myron Denney Jr. and Harry Denney and her sister Shirley Knise.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch Street in Schenevus with the Rev. Joseph Bokel officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the service time on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Barbara to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.
