Guilford – Barbara J. Zindle, 80, passed away May 29, 2019 at Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich.

She was born July 11, 1938 in Johnson City, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Munsey) Ackerman.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 64 years, Herbert E. Zindle, Sr. whom she married on December 21, 1954; their children, Wayne Zindle of Unadilla, Darlene and Eric Fawthrop of New Jersey, Herbie Zindle of Maryland, Kathleen and Mark Palmeter of Maryland, and Joseph Zindle of Florida; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Norene Peters; her brothers, Keith and Donna Ackerman and Hall Oreregan; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Gerald Allen.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
