BEATRICE A. MOORE

PORTLANDVILLE – Beatrice A. Moore, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2006 at her home.

She was born April 30, 1929 in Margaretville, the daughter of John and Mary (VanSteenburg) Sprague.

She married Charles H. Moore Sr. on Sept. 30, 1947 at the Elm Park United Methodist Church in Oneonta.

Bea retired from the Wilber National Bank in 1996.

She was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.

Bea is survived by her two daughters, Susan Couse of Portlandville and Diane and husband, Barry Bullis of Oneonta; six sons, Douglas Moore of Davenport, Charles Moore Jr. of Utica, Allan Moore and fiancé Cheryl Goodspeed of Morris, Anthony Moore of Oneonta, Terry and wife, Barb Moore of Garrettsville, and Randy Moore of Oneonta; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Clayton and wife, Jan Sprague of Long Island, Victor Sprague of Roxbury, Asher Sprague of Long Island, Hector Sprague of Margaretville; five sisters, Doris and husband, Albert Coss of Margaretville, Ruby Coss of Andes, Shirley and husband, Junior Yeary of Delhi, Betty Martin of Stamford and Freda Manon of Fleshmanns; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Moore Sr. on May 25, 1996; her parents; four sisters, Eleanor Decker, Beryl McGregor, Cheryl Manon, Janice Manon; two brothers, Mitchell Sprague and John Sprague Jr.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the funeral home, with the Reverend Thomas Clemow, pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
