Bernice S. Mccabe's Obituary
Bernice S. McCabe of Suffield, CT and Worcester, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Worcester, she lived for the past seven years in Suffield, CT. She was an avid gardener and genealogist. She was active in various genealogical societies including the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by her children, Thomas J. McCabe, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Suffield, CT and Michael S. McCabe, and his wife, Virginia of Longmeadow, MA; grandchildren, Christine Hanna and her husband, Sean, Thomas J. McCabe III and his wife Erin, and James M. McCabe and Kaitlin McCabe. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. McCabe, Sr.; her brothers, Arthur, DeForest and Robert Sperry, and her sister, Gladys Reid.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday October 26th from 6-8 p.m. at E. J. Skinner Funeral Chapel, Worcester.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, Worcester on Wednesday October 27th at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Worcester Historical Society, 144 Main St., Worcester, NY 12197.
