Betsy Boorn Weidman passed away on November 25, 2023.

She was born November 20, 1930 in Englewood, NJ, the daughter of Ernest and Meta Christine (Morris) Boorn, and sister of William Boorn, all of whom have predeceased her.

Betsy is the beloved mother of her son, Timothy Weidman and his wife, Hope, and her daughter, Bonny Deflandre; the beloved grandmother of William Weidman and his wife, Jennifer, and great-grandsons, Liam and Connor Weidman, and granddaughter, Jennifer Bigelow and her husband, Robert and great-grandson, Robert Bigelow.

She married Richard Guy Weidman on June 16, 1950 in the Episcopal Church in Schenevus.  He predeceased her in 2022.

Betsy graduated from Tenafly High School in Tenafly, NJ.  She attended Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and graduated in 1964 from SUNY Oneonta.

She taught at Worcester Central School from 1964 until her retirement in 1987.

She was a member of the Worcester United Methodist Church, where she was Church Treasurer, Membership Chair, Methodist Messenger volunteer, and a many-year member of the Choir and Community Chorale.  She was also Treasurer of the community Christmas Baskets and a volunteer at the Worcester Free Library and the Storehouse.

There will be no calling hours, only a graveside memorial at a later date.
