MARYLAND – Beverly C. Teleky, 77, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the Otsego Manor.
She was born June 13, 1934 in Unadilla, the daughter of Elwin and Myrtha (Ruling) DeShaw.
Bev married Edward Teleky on October 9, 1949.
In 1970, she and her husband established Edward Teleky Jeweler's in Oneonta.
She enjoyed bowling with her friends on the Milford Bowling League. She also loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren and looked forward to attending all of their sports events.
Bev is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Judy and Dean Baker of Otego and Bonnie and Larry Potter of Unadilla; grandchildren, Katrina Potter, Melissa and Joshua Martin, Morgan and Chris Forte, Zachary and Kasia Baker and Dustin Baker; a great granddaughter, Lily Potter; a sister, Barbara and Robert Reynard of Florida; a brother, Bernard and Tina DeShaw of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward on December 22, 2006; an infant daughter; a sister, Betty DeShaw; a brother, William DeShaw; two nephews, Gerald Reynard and James DeShaw.
A celebration of Bev's life will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Milford American Legion, 86 West Main St., Milford, followed by reception.
The family wishes to thank Bev's friends, the dialysis unit at Bassett Hospital, and the staff at the Otsego Manor for the wonderful care and friendship they gave to our beloved mother.
