BERNE – Brian K. Bengtson, 48, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2014 at his parents home in Westford/Worcester.


He was born September 14, 1965 in Cobleskill, the son of Kenneth and Sofran (Dedek) Bengtson.


He married Tracy Marshall on July 27, 1990 in a garden in Guilderland. The couple shared nearly 30 wonderful years together and raised three beautiful sons, whom miss their dad very, very much.


Brian was a senior technician at General Electric Global research and GE Healthcare, for 28 years. He had great knowledge of semiconductor processing equipment. He worked many years on equipment for the development and production of digital detectors used in mammography and cardiovascular x-ray.


Brian had great intellect and was very interested in electronics, bulldozers, trucks and music. He greatly enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his family, and most especially spending time with his boys.


He is survived by wife, Tracy and their sons, Zac, Dustin and Ben of Berne; his mother, Sofran Bengtson of Worcester; his sister, Joan Bengtson of Maryland; and a large extended family.


He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth; and recently an aunt, Arlene Dedek and an uncle, Tony Hren.


Services will be announced next month.
