MOON TOWNSHIP, PA - Brian Makofske, 38, formerly of Maryland, NY passed away, unexpectedly, Friday, November 17, 2006.

He was born July 18, 1968 in Port Jefferson, NY, the son of Jacob and Carol (Lash) Makofske.

Brian was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1988 to 1990.

He married Melissa K. Southworth in August 8, 1992 in Massena, NY.

Brian was a graduate of Schenevus Central School, Class of 1986. He has been a resident of Pennsylvania for 10 years.

Brian worked in the Telecommunications industry, currently employed with NACR North Atlantic Communications Resources as a Senior Account Executive.

He was an avid golfer.

Brian is survived by his wife, Melissa Makofske and his son, Philip Makofske of Moon Township, Pa.; his parents, Jacob and Carol Makofske of Maryland, NY; three brothers, Michael Makofske of Maryland, NY, Thomas and his wife, Deborah Makofske of Schenevus, NY, and Robert and his wife, Kathleen Makofske of Hartwick, NY; nieces and nephews, Michael Jr., Victoria, Jessica, Walter, Lauryn and Abigail; his parents-in-law, Neil and Susan Southworth; brother-in-law, Neil;
sister-in-law, Holly ; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to Noon on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Heller Funeral Home in Schenevus, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Noon, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Main St., Schenevus, with the Rev. Edward Golding as celebrant.

Interment will follow at the Schenevus Cemetery.
