Oneonta - Bruce A. Snyder

Bruce A. Snyder, 62, of Oneonta passed away Monday, May 15, 2006 at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.


He was born on December 19, 1943 in Cobleskill, the son of Arthur G. and Florence I. (Conover) Snyder.


Bruce married Maryanna Gregory.


He was a US Army veteran.


Bruce has lived in the Oneonta area for the past 20 years and was employed at The Daily Star Newspaper as a circulation manager.


He was a member of the West Oneonta Fire Department and St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Oneonta.


Bruce is survived by his wife of twenty years, Maryanna Gregory-Snyder; his dog, Nikki; his mother, Florence Snyder Nader; his children, Kim Finch and her husband Mark, Katrina Miner and her husband, Daniel, Bruce Snyder Jr. and his wife, Kim, Shane Gregory and Kimberly Koehr and her husband, Matthew; 15 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ferissa Sheldon and Joan Taylor and her husband, Harold.


Calling hours will be held Friday, May 19, 2006 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Walnut St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Joseph Benintende as celebrant.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Emmons. Following the burial everyone is invited to the St. Mary's Parish Center for hospitality.
