Obituary

SCHENEVUS – Bruno Ramessini, 89, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008 at his home.

He was born December 7, 1918 in East Pike Run, PA, the son of Charles and Elizabeth Ramessini.

He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II.

He was married to Ann Fluney, who predeceased him.

Bruno was employed for the Local Carpenters Union, Oneonta. He built and owned The Evening Inn.

He was a member of the Schenevus VFW Post 2752.

He is survived by his daughters, Wendy and Robert Hill of Schenevus; Ella and Peter Giaquinto of Schenectady; grandsons, Peter and Danny Giaquinto; a sister, Doris Bettio of Troy; nephews, John Barnes and Bradley Freeman; niece, Evelyn Weidmann, as well as other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Charles, and Joe Ramessini; a sister, Camilla Barnes; his loving companion, Bernice Kane; and a very special niece, Doris Freeman.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, chaplain at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, officiating.

Interment with military honor will follow at the Schenevus Cemetery.
