Calvin H. Bissell's Obituary
COLLIERSVILLE – Calvin H. Bissell, 80, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
He was born December 19, 1931 in Concord, VT, the son of George and Blanche (Mason) Bissell.
Calvin was a United States Army veteran serving from 1950 to 1952 and continued serving with the National Guard.
He married Elaine Ruth Bean on August 29, 1952.
He and his wife were the owners of the Little Super in Colliersville for 35 years.
Calvin is survived by wife, Elaine R. Bissell; four children, Edward A. and wife, Hollie Bissell, Brian L. Bissell and companion, Maryann Timer, Michael K. and wife, Lorraine Bissell, and Cynthia P. Bissell and companion, Russ Smith; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta.
A graveside service with military honors will be 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Maryland Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Milford Fire Department, 64 So. Main St., Milford, NY 13807.
