ONEONTA – Carl L. Hughes, 76, passed away April 13, 2018 at Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

He was born December 2, 1941 in Oneonta, the son of Abram and Ermal Ruby (McLean) Hughes.

He married Marguerite Hollenback on April 29, 1967 in Worcester.

Carl was a life-long dairy farmer, working the family business, Hughes Farm in Oneonta.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite Hughes of Oneonta; a daughter, Sharon Hughes of Oneonta; two brothers, Kenneth and Patricia Hughes and Charles and Ester Hughes, all of Milford; a sister, Martha and Paul Constatine of Ft. Walton, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the Hartwick Cemetery, 3664 State Route 205, Hartwick, with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, officiating.
