HUDSON - Carol Ives, 72, passed away October 30, 2017 at Albany Medical Center.

She was born October 8, 1945 in Albany, the daughter of Sanford and Shirley (Meyers) Goldenberg.

Carol was a Registered Nurse in the Capital District area for 30 years. She and her husband, Tracy "Scrappy" Ives were collectors of antiques. Carol was an animal lover and has rescued many of her beloved pets, which are far too many to name. She often put their needs before her own.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth and Rachel Blackwell, Michael and Cami Blackwell, David Blackwell and Scott Hotaling, and Brian and Amy Blackwell; grandchildren; her brother, Marc Goldenberg; a niece, Laura Goldenberg; and her step-children and their families, Jennifer, Amy and Emily Ives.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Tracy Ives in 2014; and step-son, Brian Ives.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Maple View Cemetery, North Road, East Worcester, with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, officiating.
