Carole J. Tibbitts' Obituary
ONEONTA – Carole J. Tibbitts passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of Chester and Hazel Bates.
Carole moved to Oneonta in 1970. She was a New York State Supreme Court Stenographer for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Hobbib of Oneonta; two sons, David and Kathy Tibbitts of Texas and Edward and Margaret Tibbitts of Rhode Island, nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was predeceased her sister, Anna Mae Bates and two brothers, Chester Bates and Robert Bates.
A big thank you from the family to the staff at Chase Memorial Nursing Home; you are a wonderful group of caring people.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. A private interment at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made to the Oneonta Plains Cemetery, 162 County Highway 58, Oneonta, NY 13820.
