Schenevus - Carolyn L. Muehl, 77, passed away December 13, 2022 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home in New Berlin.
She was born June 15, 1945 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Michael and Louise (Gorence) Kubis.
Carolyn "CB" graduated from Milford Central School.
She married John "Jack" Muehl on July 25, 1966.
CB loved gardening and her flowers. She was a dedicated and supportive mother, a loyal wife and was extremely family oriented. She enjoyed going fishing with her children. She loved to dance and have fun socializing. She was always willing to help others.
CB grew up working at her family's restaurant, Mike's Diner, in Milford. She and Jack owned the Bell Hotel in Schenevus which she managed for many years. She was the bookkeeper for the Town of Maryland while Jack was the Supervisor. She was thrilled to help her daughter at Jack's Pub in Worcester, which opened in 2004. She also volunteered cooking for several clubs and organizations.
She is survived by her son, John Muehl; her daughter, Amy Muehl and her husband, Bernie Velasco; her brother, Michael Kubis and his wife, Phyllis; her sister, Jackie Webster and her husband, Mark and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Louise Kubis; her husband, Jack Muehl on June 5, 1993.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, December 19 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 201 Main St. in Worcester.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Schenevus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter, PO Box 12226, Syracuse, NY 13218, www.alz.org or to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 201 Main St., Worcester, NY 12197 or to the Chase Memorial Nursing Home, Sunshine Fund, 1 Terrace Heights, New Berlin, NY 13411.
