STAMFORD – Carolyn K. Rifenbark, 59, passed away June 29, 2015 at home.

She was born August 19, 1955 in Blossburg, PA, the daughter of Harvey Osborne Jr. and Shirley (Scarborough) Osborne.

Carolyn was a graduate of Andrew S. Draper Central School in Schenevus; received an Associate's degree from SUNY Cobleskill and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from SUNY Oneonta.

She married Horace W. "Buddy" Rifenbark III, August 24, 1974 in Schenevus. He predeceased her on May 25, 2012.

She was a Case Manager and Mediator for Family Court in Delaware and Otsego Counties and a Medicaid Service Coordinator for developmentally disabled. Carolyn volunteered at CORE Value in Stamford. She taught at Backstreet Music in Cobleskill for 13 years. She was a founding member for Classical Guitar Society of Upstate NY (CGSUNY) where she served as an officer, secretary and treasurer for 15 years.

She enjoyed going on Missionary trips; having gone twice to both Haiti and Guyana.

She is survived by her children, Matthew and Cheryl Rifenbark of Westford, Jennifer and Daniel Race of Worcester and Amber and Jonathan Wisniewski of Stamford; grandchildren, Brady, Gwen, Nick, Michael and Dylan; siblings, Ricky, Clifford, Lewellyn and Wesley Osborne and Beverly Ambrosio; and many nieces, nephews, friends and students.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, from Noon to the funeral service at 1 p.m. the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Schenevus Cemetery.
