DAVENPORT – Charles Adamski, 77, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 2, 2009.
He was born January 18, 1932 in Hackensack, NJ, the son of Louis and Rose (Wanco) Adamski.
Charles married Helen Euper at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Oradell, NJ in 1951.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, from 1953-1955.
Charlie was a scout leader, a private pilot, an outdoorsman and a businessman.
He and his wife bought the property in Davenport in 1968 and moved there 5 years ago. They spent the summers in Davenport, NY and the winters in Davenport, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen; two sons, Robert and wife, Linda and William and fiancée, Mary Catherine; a daughter, Marie; a beloved granddaughter, Lea; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved dog, Bailey.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta from 10 a.m. to the funeral service at Noon, with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Worcester, officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.
