Otego -Charles W. (Chuck) Holcomb, 77, passed away on May 8, 2021 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown after a short illness.

Chuck was born the son of Charles Holcomb and the former Elsie Platt.

He retired from Oneonta Grocery Company and after worked a few years at Ames Department store in Oneonta.

Chuck married the former Doris Jubar of Oneonta and they recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

Chuck enjoyed tinkering on things outside, going on side-by-side rides and playing pitch. Most of all he enjoyed his sons and his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris of Otego; his sons, Charles and his companion, Pam of Franklin and Rodney and his wife, Michelle of Worcester; grandchildren, Michelle, Tyler, Sarah and Ryan.  He is also survived by several brothers, sisters, several in-laws and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Holcomb.

Chuck was predeceased by his parents, his stepmother and a brother.

Calling hours for family and friends will be 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St. , Oneonta.

There will be a private service and the burial will be at Oneonta Plains Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
