WORCESTER – Christopher John Snyder, 56, passed away at home on
Tuesday, November 18, 2008.
He was born November 5, 1952 in Cobleskill.
Chris was a United States Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a truck driver at Cobleskill Ready Mix, then at
Cobleskill Stone and was currently working at Carver Stone in
Altamont.
Chris was an avid NRA member.
He is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Snyder of Middleburgh and
Denise Snyder of Springfield; his former wife and friend, JoAnn and
her husband, Richard Delmas of Maryland and his girlfriend, Rosanne
Cross of Prattsville; as well and many cousins and friends.
Chris was predeceased by his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Snyder; his mother,
Phyllis Snyder and grandmother, Agnes Snyder.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 1 to 3
p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in
Worcester.
The funeral service with military honors will be Monday, November 24, 2008
at 1 p.m. at the
Second Baptist Church, Main St., Worcester, with the Reverend Judith
A. Thistle, pastor, officiating.
