Worcester – Clyde F. Wilcox, 64, passed away September 6, 2025 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta.
He was born September 28, 1960 in Cobleskill, the son of Clyde E. and Margaret (Conklin) Wilcox.
Clyde graduated from Worcester Central School and briefly attended SUNY Cobleskill. He worked as a butcher, at G& I Homes, and then was employed with National Grid starting out in Tree Service, then as a Lineman and retired as a Gas Mechanic.
He married Melissa "Lisa" Warner on August 27, 1983 at the East Worcester United Methodist Church. She predeceased him on January 23, 2019.
In his younger years, his hobbies included trapping, coon hunting, fishing, and bowling league. One of his most memorable fishing trips was when he went on a lobster boat with a bunch of his friends. Once he and Lisa married they enjoyed going on camping trips and owned different livestock throughout the years thus them making their farm name "Y-Not Farm" because of the assortment of animals they owned/ raised at one time or another.
Clyde was a member of the East Worcester Fish and Game at one time for many years. He also was a member of the East Worcester Fire Department, most recently serving as Commissioner, the Schenevus Valley Masonic Lodge No 592, where he was a past Chaplin as well.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristy and Diego Patino; his son, Jacob and Crystal Wilcox; grandchildren, Christian, Bailey and Amelia Wilcox, Hailey Zabelicky, Nathaniel Ford and Isabella Patino; his mother, Margaret Herrala; brothers, John and Randy Wilcox; many nieces and nephews, as well as his beloved dog, Gretta.
He was predeceased by his father, Clyde E. Wilcox; step-father, Rev. Robert Herrala; brothers, James and Stephen Wilcox.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 18 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 20, at the Christian Community Church of Faith, 355 St Rt 7, Richmondville. Burial will follow at the East Worcester Cemetery, on State Highway 7, East Worcester.
