DAVENPORT – Constance E. Brooker, 77, passed away February 9, 2014 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born May 28, 1936 in Cobleskill, the daughter of Everett & Florine (Newberry) Shaver.

Connie married the love of her life, Franklin D. Brooker on August 1, 1999 in Worcester.

She owned and operated Connie's Beauty Shoppe for 35 years out of her home in the Worcester area.

Connie was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Ozzie.

She is survived by her husband, Franklin Brooker of Davenport; her children, Gail (Joe) Sears of Marietta, GA, Michael Preston of Greensboro, NC and Patti (David) Belknap of Masonville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha (Ronnie) Morell; brothers, Doug (Ann) Shaver, Craig (Carol) Shaver and Dennis (Kathy) Shaver; many nieces, nephews, close friends.

She was predeceased by her brother, Lance Shaver.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice caregivers for the kindness and compassion they gave to Connie.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, officiating.
