Cora B. Kistler, 77, of Worcester passed away, Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at her residence.
She was born March 29, 1930 in Schenectady, NY; the daughter of Jesse and Fanny (Lewis) Roe.
Cora married Louis Roe on July 10, 1948 in Worcester. He predeceased her August 2, 1986. Cora married Allen Kistler October 29, 1994 in Schenectady. He predeceased her June 19, 1988.
She was a homemaker and worked the family farm. She also held various other jobs.
Cora enjoyed traveling, reading and playing cards. She was a 20 year member of the Woman of the Moose of Oneonta.
Cora is survived by 2 daughters, Irene Kistler of North Carolina and Georgianna Lobdell of Worcester; 2 sons, Louis Roe of Maryland, NY and Larry Roe of Worcester; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 sisters and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2007 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main Street, Worcester with the Rev. Warren Babcock officiating.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
Calling hours will be Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Contributions may be made in loving memory of Cora to the charity of one's choice.
