Ms. Cora E. Wikoff, 88, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2014 at Robynwood Home Care Agency and Adult Home in Oneonta, NY.
Cora was born on September 12, 1925, at the Thanksgiving Home in Cooperstown. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Anna Mumford who were long time residents of Cooperstown.
Cora was a 1943 graduate of Cooperstown High School and a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill.
In 1945 she married Maurice J. Wikoff, who predeceased her in 2000.
She was a life time member of the First Baptist Church and was a choir member for many years. For four years Cora directed the Hostel singers in Oneonta. She was also a home care provider in Oneonta and Cooperstown areas for many years. While residing in a Senior Center in Clyde, NY, she became a Foster Grandmother with the Head Start Program.
Cora is survived by three sons, Terry Arthur (Paula) of Cooperstown, Mark Mumford (Delsia) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kim Maurice of Cooperstown; three daughters, Donna Lee Bailey of Oneonta, Dawn Ann Cecile Wikoff of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lori Ann Vitticore of Clyde, NY; twelve grandchildren, Anna, Chery, Gretchen, Hannah, Joseph, Joshua, Kyle, Matthew, Micah, Sarai, Tulsa, and Shane; seventeen great-grandchildren, Abbigail, Alexander, Ashley, Cheyenne, Daniel, Ember, Emma, Kendra, Knox, Kohlee, Koopyr, Melinda, Nolan, Oryon, Ryden, Samantha, and Zoey; and 1 great-great-grandson, Gavin.
Cora's remains were remanded to The University of Rochester Medical Center for the Anatomical Gift Program.
Private services will be held.
