Cynthia Marie Starr, 62, of Oneonta, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Born February 2, 1961, in Oneonta, NY, she was the daughter of Johnathan and Patricia (Hulbert) Dean.

She married Donald Starr Jr. on June 4, 1977, and had a small wedding in Davenport. Cindy was a homemaker and she spent her time babysitting her grandchildren.  Cindy loved online auctioning. She also enjoyed gardening. Cindy's favorite activity to do was to spend time with her family.

Cindy was a strong woman with a fierce personality. She went above and beyond for the ones she loved. Outspoken, honest, loyal, and loving are a few words that describe who Cindy was.

She is survived by her children, Donnie Starr (Gill), Nicole Starr (Ron), and Brittany Starr (Gio); grandchildren Draimyne, Gabriella, Oliviah, and Avayah; siblings Johnny (Elaina) and Sandy (Kelly) Malette; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home at 51 Dietz Street, Oneonta, New York.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Cook Cemetery in West Oneonta .
