ONEONTA/ROME  - Darlene A. Zakala, 67, of Oneonta, passed away on Jan. 16, 2022, at home.

She was born in Rome, NY, on July 30, 1954, to the late Russell and Stella Zakala. Darlene attended Rome schools and graduated from RFA and MVCC. At one time she was employed by Nunn's Funeral Service and the U.S. Postal Service.

Darlene is survived by her son Nathan, his wife Sarah, and three grandchildren, Tyler, Jaden and Hailey, all of Oneonta. Also to mourn Darlene is her brother, Bruce, of Marcy, and his sons Russell and Bryan, of Whitesboro, many cousins and two aunts.

Services to be held in the spring.
