ONEONTA – DeForest "Bob" Mulkins, 71 passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown with his family by his side.
He was born January 21, 1938, the son of DeForest and Bernice (Dilello) Mulkins.
Bob and Janice Patrick were married in July of 1995 in Otego.
Bob was the maintenance, handy man and all around helper for the Mountain View Mobile Home Park for many years.
He was past member of the Cooperstown Fire Department, Oneonta Fire Department and the Moose Club.
Bob was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife Janice of fourteen years; two daughters, Brenda and husband, Len Haynes of Oneonta and Ginger Houck of Oneonta; step children, Ike Rathbun of Laurens, Vicki Salamon of Laurens, James and wife, Debbie Rathbun of Oneonta and Christopher Rathbun also of Oneonta; grandchildren, Sara and Phil Lindroth of Indian Head, MD, Natasha Caulkins of Oneonta, John Nault of Oneonta, Nick and Jakob Haynes of Oneonta, Corinne and Joey More of Davenport; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Jade Lindroth of Indian Head, MD; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters, Elaine Baird and Judy Rivino, both of Oneonta; and a close friend, Donald Beers of Oneonta.
Calling hours will be held at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to the service at 7:00 p.m., with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, retired, officiating.
