Oneonta – Diane M. Jones, 95, passed away on September 20, 2025 at the Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

She was born December 10, 1929 in Detroit, MI, the daughter of George E. and Helen M. (Langer) Neugarten.

Diane resided in the Riverdale neighborhood of the Bronx for many years.  She was an office manager and bookkeeper for several New York City businesses.

Diane was a strong and independent woman.  She was a giving person, volunteering during the holidays helping the homeless. With her nurturing and loving demeanor, she was a mother to those who needed it; a mother to all, people and animals.   She was creative and artistic, and passionate about culture, going to museums and listening to music.  She enjoyed spending time in her garden and most especially in the kitchen, finding delicious recipes from the over 300 cookbooks she treasured.

She is survived by her son, Evan and Silvia; her grandchild, Ruby and Jaden; and many beloved friends.

There will be no services at this time.
