Dolores J. Reploeg
Mrs. Dolores Joanne Stephens Reploeg, 65, of Front Royal, Virginia, died Friday, January 12, 2007 in Winchester Medical Center.
Dolores ("Dee") was born on May 12, 1941, in Paterson, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred Klinger Stephens. She met John Reploeg in nursing school and they were married on June 15, 1962 in Harpursville. She and her husband were the former owners and operators of Jobmann Nursing Home in Worcester, New York. Dee supported her husband through his Army career. After living in Pennsylvania for several years the family moved to Florida in 1982.
Dee had a varied and successful nursing career of her own, working first at the nursing home in Worcester, then in obstetrics and later in home health care, becoming administrator of up to three offices. Before she retired, she was the Home Care Project Coordinator for Florida Medicare Quality Assurance, Inc. In late fall of 2006, Dee moved to Front Royal, Virginia, where she attended Virginia Hills Church.
On May 17, 2006 her husband John preceded her in death. It was Dee's wish to be reunited with both her husband of 43 years and her Savior and Redeemer in heaven. She had only recently been diagnosed with cancer, but is now in the arms of both of them. It is this knowledge which gives the family comfort during this time.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn Christine Dentato of Spring Hill, FL and Robyn Lynn Gerrity of Lithia, FL; one son, Eric Jon Reploeg of Front Royal; two sisters, Linda Glover of Tennessee and Debbie Jenks of New York; one brother, Thomas Stephens, Jr. of California; and three granddaughters, Whitney and Kimber Reploeg of Front Royal, and Elizabeth Dentato of Spring Hill.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at E.J. Skinner Funeral Chapel in Worcester, NY with the Reverend James R. Anderson officiating.
Interment will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 4, 2007 at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester, NY.
