ONEONTA – Dominique T. Webb, 29, died unexpectedly at home on January 31, 2013.
Dom was born April 3, 1983 in Fayetteville, NC. He and his family lived in Waco, Texas before moving to Oneonta in 1987. He was very active in sports growing up, playing PeeWee Football, Little League and soccer. In high school he continued playing football and basketball. Dom graduated Oneonta High School, Class of 2001. He attended Hartwick College and Tompkins Community College. His true passion in life was music. He was one of the lead singers for the band, Guava Smash. He was a creative artist who loved making music. He most especially loved his band mates, who he considered family.
Dom worked at several area pizzerias's, and currently was working at Legends Sports Bar as a cook and enjoyed filling in as a DJ when needed.
He is survived by his mother, Melanie (Rowe) Webb of Oneonta; his brother, Dashaun Webb of Oneonta; grandparents, Lester and Evelyn Rowe of Gilbertsville; aunt, Terry and her husband, John Marchev of Springfield Center; uncle, Kurt Rowe of Gilbertsville; several cousins, great aunts and great uncles, and many special and beloved friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta, with Erin O'Brien and Hector Reiter, officiating.
