Donald H. Buck Sr., 65, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 15, 2016.
He was born on December 19, 1950 in Stamford; the son of Charles and Florence (Truax) Buck Sr.
Don married Bonnie Strobeck on October 16, 1971 at the Worcester Methodist Church.
He served in The United States Army as a heavy equipment operator from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam Era.
Don was a very patriotic, lifelong area resident, who was a member of the VFW Post 15033, the Oneonta American Legion Post 259 and the Disabled American Veterans.
Don enjoyed spending time with family, friends and loved ones. His truck was his pride and joy. He loved working with his hands and tinkering with anything.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie of Worcester, his 5 children, Amy Martin and her husband Shane of Florida, Michelle Buck and her significant other Thomas Hewitt of Worcester, Donna Baker and her fiancée Bill Wood of Texas, Rebecca Norton and her husband Kevin of Worcester and Donald Buck Jr. and his wife Mary of East Worcester; his grandchildren, Shena Martin, Joshua Martin, Kyle O'Dell, Taylor Buck, Dylan Baker, Jordan Wood, Alysse Norton, Kacey McGuire, Justin Buck and Sean Buck; his 2 sisters, Beverly Lockwood and her husband Roger of Richmondville and Dorothy Clark and her husband Larry of California; many nieces, nephews and cousins and his two special K-9 babies, Kayla and Carly.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers Charles Buck Jr. and Carl Buck.
A private graveside service will be held at the Charlotteville Cemetery with military honors at a later date.
