ONEONTA – Donald C. Chamberlain, Jr., 66, passed away November 16, 2015 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
He was born May 31, 1949 in Oneonta, the son of Donald C. and Gertrude Mae (Hebbard) Chamberlain.
Donald was a graduate of Oneonta High School.
He married Helen Frazier on April 11, 1969 in Oneonta.
Donald at one time was as the Division Manager at Sears & Roebuck, he also was a Route Driver for Stroehmann Bread, Schwan's, as well as The Daily Star.
He enjoyed hunting; was an avid reader, especially a good Western; had a collection of coins and beer, however, above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Chamberlain of Oneonta; a daughter, Helen Mae Bonadies of Oneonta; grandchildren, Garrett and Jasmine Bonadies; son-in-law, Michael Bonadies of Oneonta; his mother, Gertrude Chamberlain of Davenport; his siblings, Deborah Keller, Darlene (Francis) Huestis, Denise (John) Grant, Dennis Chamberlain, and Dawna Ross; numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald Chamberlain, Sr.; a brother, Darryl Chamberlain and a sister, Donna Chamberlain.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Cynthia Walton-Leavitt, pastor at the First United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
