MARYLAND – Donald Joseph Cole "Joe", 57, passed away December 8, 2015 at Bassett, Cooperstown.

Born September 3, 1958, son of the late Richard and Ethel (Blanchard) Cole; Joe was a United States Army veteran, and worked as a furnace technician for Reinhardt Home Heating, Oneonta.

Joe was a great friend, a great bother;

now he is gone and missed forever.

Always funny with a joke to say,

one you wish you could of recorded,

so you now could go back and hit play.

He loved the river and going to fish,

to still be here is what we all wish.

Going to camp was his thing we all know,

bringing those jokes to pick you up if you felt low.

Survivors; his wife, Lucinda (Welch) Cole, who he married February 25, 1988; his son, Dale Cole; grandchildren, Alexis, Riley and Kayden, who he loved with all his heart; his siblings, Dean (Jillian), Dave, Donna, Darleen (Mike), Gary, Duane (Carol); several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; a good friend, Chuckie and so many other special friends.

A service for friends and family will be announces later in the spring.
